Jordan Bell, Ph.D.
Manager of Intellectual Property
Jordan joined Skysong Innovations in April of 2021 as Manager of Intellectual Property for the Life Sciences team. He works with ASU faculty and researchers in identifying, protecting, and managing intellectual property.
Prior to joining Skysong Innovations, Jordan worked as a research manager at Global Patent Solutions where he managed a team of research analysts on IP issues relating to patentability, freedom to operate, invalidity, and landscape-based searches in a wide range of technical fields including biotechnology, medical devices, and chemistry.
Jordan’s research experience includes molecular biology research at the University of Texas Health Science Center, focusing on human Cytochrome P450 expression in the presence of an inflammatory response.
Jordan has a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Rochester and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Texas Health Science Center. He completed a post-doctoral position at the Barrow Neurological Institute at the St. Joseph’s Hospital, focusing on gene and protein expression in the EAE Mouse model of Multiple Sclerosis. Additionally, he has technical publications in the areas of gene expression, regulation, and visualization.
