Kyle N. Siegal, M.S., J.D.
Executive Director and Chief Patent Counsel
Kyle joined Skysong Innovations in January 2017 and serves as Executive Director and Chief Patent Counsel. As a registered patent attorney, he works closely with faculty and pursues legal protection for ASU innovation in the life science space.
Prior to joining Skysong Innovations, Kyle worked at a leading law firm where he helped clients identify, secure, and enforce all types of intellectual property rights, including those rooted in patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and rights of publicity. Kyle’s patent clients have ranged from tech startups to Fortune 500 companies in a variety of fields, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, computer technologies, wearables, fuel cells, firearms, mixed-media products, and consumer goods. Before practicing law, Kyle served as a regulatory affairs specialist for a global medical device company.
Kyle holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the James E. Rogers College of Law at The University of Arizona. He also holds an M.S. in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Southern California.
