IP Manager
Lia joined Skysong Innovations in September 2024 and serves as an IP Manager for the Life Sciences team. Her role involves working closely with ASU faculty and staff and Skysong Innovations business development team to advance ASU innovations into the marketplace by facilitating invention disclosures, evaluating technologies, advancing patent preparation and prosecution, and managing IP.
Prior to joining Skysong Innovations, Lia has worked as a quality engineer, IP manager, and market intelligence leader with W.L. Gore & Associates, a global medical device company, where she led a team of research analysts for market sizing, intelligence, and IP issues relating to patentability, freedom to operate, invalidity, and due diligence in medical devices, biotechnology, and materials.
Lia, a registered patent agent, has a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Arizona State University. She has multiple certificates in market research, Agile project management, and competitive intelligence.
