Transfer of Matters

• Outside counsel sending and receiving transfers should each ensure that the transfer includes the complete invention disclosure file (including any files or communications containing references), supporting attachments, etc., and not merely draft applications or previously filed applications. Receiving firms need the entire file so they can properly scrape the file for IDS purposes.
• Outside counsel must notify SI in advance if outside counsel proposes charging SI for a transfer.
